AVEVA Group PLC (LSE: AVV), the World leader in Process Plant Engineering IT Solutions and Services, brought its ISEIT (International Symposium for Engineering IT) seminar series to the Middle East for the first time by organising a condensed one-day programme for a select group of industry experts and professionals in Abu Dhabi recently.

This follows the enormous success of the ISEIT seminars organised world wide, that present a package of business strategies, application technology and debate to an audience of engineers and directors from a wide range of disciplines and industries including strategic sectors like Oil and Gas, Power, Marine and Chemical sectors.

Among the key speakers from AVEVA at the UAE event were Gary Patterson, Account Manager, The Gulf, Chris Pearson, Senior Technical Sales Consultant and Ricky Padhiar, Middle East Technical Manager. The key topics included VANTAGE Enterprise Net, Integrated Project Execution, the PDMS11.6 and VANTAGE Plant Design Review.

"Inducting ISEIT into the region demonstrates AVEVA's commitment to developing strong business relationships with our existing and potential clients in the Middle East. Events like ISEIT enable us to focus on the requirements of the industry and take our messages directly to the core customers and key prospects," said Louay Dahmash, Regional Director, Middle East, AVEVA. "The forum is designed to generate dialogue from the industry professionals in order to understand their needs. This helps in clearing the conflicting claims that surrounds the sector of engineering IT and equips the delegates for a profitable future by encouraging them to adapt our solutions that have a strong local relevance for process, power and marine projects."

"ISEIT is aimed at managers and engineers who are challenged by fast-track projects, a huge order of deliverables and demanding clients. AVEVA has perfected systems that lend the all-important IT edge to engineering needs of today. As these are cutting edge solutions, it is important to demonstrate them to key professionals directly in small groups," said Chris Pearson, Senior Technical Sales Consultant, AVEVA.

Nigel Paton, Vice President of Engineering, Petrofac International Limited added "The AVEVA suite of tools is built around a data management strategy that supports the full range of Petrofac's business activities and is therefore of great interest to us. Perhaps of more interest, though, is that it presents a real opportunity for the industry to make productivity gains by standardising work processes across the development life-cycle."

The ISEIT UAE programme was attended by key managers and engineers from different companies, including ADMA-OPCO, ADCO, J Ray McDermott, Gulf Piping Company, Petrofac International Limited, Worley, NPCC, and VECO Engineering.
