As part of its efforts to encourage its subscribers to legally register their lines

Asiacell - the largest private Iraqi company and the first and only mobile telecommunications company to provide coverage for all of Iraq - announced the launch of its 'Sajjel Wala To'ajel' campaign on the 26th of September 2010. The campaign aims to encourage Asiacell subscribers to legally register their lines in order to avoid service interruption.

Through the 'Sajjel Wala To'ajel' campaign, Asiacell plans to offer 50 free minutes of outgoing on-net calls to every subscriber that registers their line with any of Asiacell's dealers and shops. Subscribers must present a copy of their National ID, a copy of their ration card, and two 4x6cm-sized photographs when registering their lines.

"We decided to take this step for the convenience of our customers and to protect their lines from being interrupted or misused," said Ashraf Heiba, Promotion and customer loyalty senior manager. "The launch of this campaign reflects Asiacell's dedication to operating in accordance with legal policies that correspond with governmental guidelines in Iraq. We continuously strive to maintain our subscribers' trust in Asiacell; we hope that we have positively contributed through this campaign to serving of the Iraqi telecom sector, and that we have helped support the economic development process in order to build the new Iraq."
