Aqaba: Under the patronage of H.E. Arch Husni Abu Ghaida,Chief Commissioner of Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Aqaba Container Terminal, the Kingdom's sole container terminal, held a reception event to mark the transition of its management to its new headquarters near the Aqaba Container Terminal. Key government officials and representatives of distinguished shipping agencies were present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
In his welcoming remarks, Klaus Holm Laursen ACT-CEO noted that the relocation of ACT's management to the new headquarters reflects a model of managerial innovation and contributes to maintaining the company's profile as it moves ahead towards achieving new record accomplishments and more successes. He said: "This is a huge leap for the Aqaba Container Terminal within the framework of expanding, which is in line with the company's operational development strategy."
At the outset of the reception event, guests were taken on a tour of ACT's new headquarters. The three-storey building is comprised of the CEO's head offices and the administrative department as well as the accounting department, the commercial department, the IT department and the human resources department.
This state-of-the-art building was especially designed to cater to ACT's managerial requirements. It features high-tech office equipment, modern meeting and conference rooms as well as other facilities that enable the employees to work in a contemporary environment that would have a positive impact on the team's performance.
Laursen expressed his thanks to the invited guests for their longstanding support. He also praised the ACT family for their continuous efforts over the past years, thanking everyone who contributed to the creation of this great edifice.
