Asmaco 2670 silicon sealant provides unparalleled adhesion to aluminium, glass, concrete, tiles, marbles, granites, most types of plastic and rubbers
Dubai - UAE October 18, 2010:- Continuing its strategy of aggressive product diversification, Anchor Allied, a subsidiary of Masharie, the private equity arm of Dubai Investments PJSC and the largest manufacturer of adhesive tapes and specialty adhesives in the Middle East, has introduced a new range of weather sealants designed for tough applications in a variety of industries.
A premium-grade, multi-purpose silicon sealant, Asmaco 2670 is formulated to provide excellent adhesion to aluminium, glass, concrete, tiles, marbles, granites ,most types of plastic, and rubbers, and is specially developed to meet the tough demands of the construction, automotive and marine industries. The product is tested and certified against international construction sealant specification; ISO 11600 by leading European and American laboratories.
"With the introduction of this high-performance silicon sealant, we further diversify our already formidable product range," said Mustafa Kachwala, General Manager of Anchor Allied.
"As the largest manufacturer of adhesives and sealants in the Middle East, Anchor Allied enjoys considerable market share in the UAE and Arab region, and we are always looking to consolidate our position through continuous product development and market expansion," Mr. Kachwala added. "Our success derives mainly from the quality and durability of our products, and our strong focus on technology ensures we are always the first to introduce innovative new products to the market."
The Asmaco 2670 silicone sealant, which comes in cartridges and can be easily applied using a silicone gun, cures at room temperature and has excellent resistance to extreme weather changes. With its outstanding adhesive and sealing properties, this elastomeric grade enables innovative construction solutions, and is ideal for all sorts of cladding, curtain walls, freezer trucks and cold room applications.
Thanks to their great versatility, most of Asmaco silicone sealants find use in almost all industries, from automotive and mechanical engineering through electrical and general applications, to the construction sector. The wealth of possible applications is due to the inorganic backbone that gives silicone elastomers not only greater heat resistance, but also better resistance to weathering, aging and chemicals than organic polymers.
Asmaco offers the automotive industry an extremely durable silicone adhesive with high resistance to oil, heat and blow-by gases. This room-temperature-vulcanizing (RTV), single-part silicone is extremely robust. Even when immersed in organic liquids such as engine oil at over 300 °C, the silicone sealant shows hardly any swelling and retains its mechanical strength. Consequently, it bonds extremely reliably and durably to a variety of polymers and metals.
