His Excellency Tayeb Al Rais, Secretary-General of Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF), received a delegation from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) led by the CEO His Excellency Sami Gargash. The meeting was organised to evaluate the services provided to minors and their care-providers and chalk out a comprehensive action plan for further improving their lives.
The meeting also drew the participation of His Excellency Khalid Al Thani, Deputy Secretary-General of AMAF, and Mohammad Borahima, Assistant Executive Director for Housing Affairs, MBRHE.
As part of the meeting, officials from AMAF delivered a presentation on the Foundation's key activities and services, as well as the challenges the organisation faces. The delegation was also briefed on AMAF's initiatives for 2013.
His Excellency Tayeb Al Rais said: "AMAF is committed to collaborating with stakeholders from the government and private sectors to enhance the services provided to minors and care-providers. We recognize the importance of offering the highest possible care and filling in for the absence of elders in the children's lives. We consistently work towards this objective and are confident that our efforts will allow the children to enjoy a decent lifestyle and grow up as well-rounded citizens."
In addition to applauding the efforts and holistic services offered by the MBRHE to meet the wide-ranging needs of the UAE citizens, Al Rais said: "I thank His Excellency Sami Gargash and the entire team at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment for their support and keenness to cooperate with other government organizations. Such partnerships provide an opportunity to share and benefit from the successful experiences of other government departments, ultimately enhancing the overall effectiveness of operations."
His Excellency Sami Gargash stressed on the importance of organising periodic meetings between government departments. He said: "MBRHE's visit to the Foundation's offices helped lay the framework for cooperation and communication between the two government organizations. We also exchanged experiences and insights to enhance operations on both sides. We remain committed to enriching the mutual support between the two organisations for the benefit of the wider community in the UAE."
Operating according to the guidelines of best practices in corporate governance, AMAF is considered the primary reference for endowments in Dubai and the authorised body for the welfare of minors. The Foundation is reputed worldwide for its transparent mechanisms that include the issuance of periodic reports to endowers and guardians of minors. AMAF is led by a highly-qualified management and specialized human resources team comprising a majority of UAE nationals.
