80% achieved and the completion next April

Dubai (United Arab Emirates): HE Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) paid a field visit and inspected during it the Public Transport's new premises and Abu Hail offices which include Marine Agency, Road Maintenance Department.

HE Al Tayer was accompanied during this visit which lasted three hours, by Abdullah Al Madani, CEO of Corporate Support Services, Nasser Bo Shihab Director of Projects and Logistic Support Department and number of Directors of Departments.

He started his tour with a visit to Abu Hail offices, which includes the offices of the Marine Agency and Road Maintenance Department, and listened to an explanation about the office space leased of approximately 12,000 feet, and includes offices to accommodate 150 staff, as well as meeting rooms and warehouses and service facilities, and the rental of these office comes within the RTA framework of keenness to provide an appropriate environment for staff.

Engineer Abdullah Yusuf Al Ali, Director of the Maintenance Department explained of the sections within the Department such as Roads Planning & Maintenance, traffic lights and signs maintenance, Installations and Facilities Maintenance, Roads Maintenance and Lighting and Traffic Signs Maintenance.

He confirmed that the RTA spend billions in the construction of roads and bridges to ensure safe and smooth transport for all, and the importance of the Maintenance Department came to keep over the operational status of the roads and bridges in good way consistent with the quality and safety standards.

Mr. Al Tayer walked at the offices of Marine Agency and heard from Engineer Ahmed Al Hammadi, Deputy Director of the Department of In-Land Water Transport about the departments and sections of the agency and the projects currently being implemented.

After that, HE Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA visit the new main building of Public Transport Agency in Al Mohesnah, which is estimated to cost around AED 51 million, and was received by HE Mohammed Obeid Al Mulla, CEO of Public Transport Agency and Mr. Ammar bin Tamim Director taxi Dubai.

He listened to an explanation about the progress of work on the project for which the rate of achievement in the main building 80%, while the rate of achievement in the service of buildings more than 85%, and is expected to end all construction work at the end of next April. The project is composed of three main sections, the first area for bus parking, and the second for the main administration building and the third area earmarked for the mechanisms service buildings.

 He walked around in all facilities of the sections in the main building which consists of four storey lie on an area of 9100 square meters, the ground floor, which is located on an area of 2763 square meters, allocated to serve the drivers, cashiers, the Control Center for Public Transport Buses and Inter-City Transport and school buses, training and rehabilitating drivers area, in addition to a group of offices.

The first floor which is of an area of 2184 square meters, include Information Reception Center, control center for taxis, Human Resources Management, the Department of Finance, Performance Control Section, the Personnel affairs Section.

The area of the second floor is 1916 square meters, and includes Information Section, offices for Public Buses, Inter-City Transport and School Buses Departments, Human Talent Management and offices for the future uses. The Third floor which is located on an area of 1957 square meters, include the Bureau of HE The chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, and the Office of the CEO of Public Transport Agency, and the Offices of Directors of Departments such as planning and business development, Legal Affairs, support departments and the committees' rooms and offices for the future uses.

Al Tayer also checked the progress of the work in the service premises that have reached execution rate where 85%, and includes the repair workshop located on an area of 1825 square meters accommodate for 19 cars, and include areas to repair and checking vehicles and the work of the pigment and plumbing.

The building also includes the reception area for cars with an area of 731 square meters, and building for the service of tires on an area of 386 square meters, comprises four sites to inspect and switching tires, and building for refueling accommodates 12 vehicles one batch in addition to the Office for Emirates Petroleum Products Company "EPPCO" and also includes the building of the Taxi examination and licenses, is located on an area of 692 square meters, in addition to Meters service building which are checking and evaluating the taxi meters, along service buildings that include car washing areas and control room  of vehicles entry.

Al Tayer at the conclusion of the tour was happy with the progress of work on the project, which was designed, according to the latest engineering design, and attempts to employ elements of engineering systems and services.
