Dubai, UAE; 16 March 2006 - Al Shamsi Holdings Managing Partner Shamis Al Shamsi announced the appointment of Robert Young as the General Manager of its retail division. Young is expected to lead the company's ambitious plans to grow its promising retail operations.

Young has a wealth of experience in retail operations management, franchise development, business process re-engineering, and project management, among others. He joins Al Shamsi Holdings from ORO-Africa, the largest jewellery manufacturer in the continent, where he handled new business ventures including the inception and management of a new store chain, and other new retail initiatives in the UAE and other GCC countries.
