Al Tayer: "We call upon UAE Nationals to take advantage of the opportunities the market has to offer"

Dubai, 18th of April, 2010: H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Emirates NBD and Chairman of Al Tomooh Supreme Committee, inaugurated today, two new projects, Experts International FZ-LLC owned by Mrs. Amany Al Shamsi and Deira Montessori Nursery which is owned by Mrs. Wafa Shamlan. The two projects were financed with AED One million by Al Tomooh Finance Scheme, which has so far provided a total of AED 40 million in finance, to support various small UAE National projects in the country.

Commenting on the occasion H.E. Ahmed Humaid said:" Al Tomooh Finance Scheme is a successful realization to the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to highlight the values of entrepreneurship and the importance of Emiratization of the economic sectors where the gap had been wide. Young UAE Nationals are increasingly aware of their important roles as self-employed entrepreneurs. Al Tomooh Scheme has focused on involving young Nationals in the private sector and has encouraged them to play a bigger role in the economic growth which will benefit them and the National economy in general. The program also supports the government's policy to support the small and medium enterprises sector."

H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer added, "I am pleased to see an increase in the number of UAE Nationals venturing in to the private business sector and starting up their own businesses. The UAE is an open and diverse economy and many opportunities are arising, we call upon UAE Nationals to take advantage of them. I would like to congratulate the owners of these projects and would like to wish them the best of luck in their business career. I would also like to commend the role of UAE National women who are increasingly playing a major role in supporting the growth and development of the National Economy."

Mr. Sulaiman Al Mazroui said, "These projects are a valuable addition to the portfolio of ventures financed by Al Tomooh. We urge entrepreneurs to make thorough feasibility studies of their projects to secure their success. Experts International is a management training centre engaged in providing Training, Consultancy and conferences management services. The company conducts specialized custom made training courses for its clients depending on their requirements towards the development of their employees. Amany Al Shamsi is a UAE National; she completed her BA in Mass Communication from UAE University, in Al Ain in the year 1992.

Deira Montessori Nursery implements the education method of Montessori; the Nursery provides education beside normal care for new born kids up to 5 years. The Nursery is located in a Villa in Qusais Area. Ms. Wafa Shamlan is a UAE National, Graduated in 1982 from Emirates University Majoring in Geography. In 1987, she acquired a Diploma in Education from Ain Shams University in Egypt.
