Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Premiere Elements 3.0 Provides Easy and Interactive Sharing Tools

Dubai, UAE, October 05, 2006-- Adobe Systems Incorporated, a leading global software and technology solutions provider, has launched Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0, a major upgrade to the No. 1 selling consumer photo editing software¹ and Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0, a complete home video editing solution for Windows. 

Available together in a single retail package, both products deliver a unique integrated functionality that provide users with the ability to do more with their photos and home videos.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 allows users to organise files, edit images easily and share photos in engaging and innovative ways, as well as providing them with quick, one-click fixes.

A landmark upgrade to the world's best selling consumer video editing software ², Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 enables users to add professional quality effects and enhancements, and output to a wide variety of devices and formats including Adobe Flash Video, the standard video format for popular social networking Web sites.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 makes photo sharing easier with themed and customisable layouts, multi-page document options for albums and scrapbooks, and over 100 framing choices. The new Map View helps dragging photos to any location tied to an online satellite map to relive memories based on locations where photos were taken.

Adobe Photoshop Services are also available from within the application providing new ways to share photos.  Adobe Photoshop Showcase, an interactive Adobe Flash based photo gallery service, allows photos to be shared for free, or upgraded to an extended sharing service via a Web site. 

These online galleries can take the form of a virtual scrapbook with flipping pages.  Photos can now be sent directly to CEIVA digital photo frames or shared via SmugMug online albums. One-click printing  simplifies ordering Kodak prints and using Photoshop Elements new photo layout functionality enables creating and ordering photobooks a more personalised experience.

Innovative editing functions allows consumers to tackle common photo edits. Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0's simplified user interface, adds new, intuitive functions allowing consumers to easily edit their videos with creative freedom. Video files can be imported from virtually any device, including DV and DVD camcorders, HDV devices, digital still and mobile phone cameras, unprotected DVDs and MPEG-4 video recorders. 

The new Monitor window enables editing and enhancing in one convenient location. Drag-and-drop functionality allows adding transitions, effects such as Picture-in-Picture and text that can be typed right in the Monitor window. The new Sceneline, an alternative view to the traditional Timeline, provides simple ways to assemble movies. Clips can be rearranged by dragging-and-dropping and viewed as thumbnails. Users can also tell their story in their own voice with narration, and create fun claymations and time-lapse movies with the new stop-motion capture function.

Easily Share with Friends and Family

Adobe Premiere Elements ensures sharing of video creations. Consumers can create professional-quality single- or dual-layer DVDs with automatic scene indexes or chapters. Video files can be shown on virtually any portable device, including the Apple video iPod and Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable), by exporting them in MPEG-4 format or Adobe Flash video file format.
