Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Etihad Airways have launched a range of co-branded debit card and covered cards, a Sharia-compliant alternative to credit cards, boosting the benefits available to ADIB customers and members of Etihad Airways' loyalty program, Etihad Guest.

Under the partnership, Etihad Guest cardholders will receive up to 50,000 Etihad Guest Miles upon signing up for one of the new cards - available in Classic, Gold and Platinum versions - and earn additional miles while using the card for any purchases.

ADIB-Etihad Guest cardholders will also be able to enjoy a number of unique privileges including airport valet parking; a dedicated ADIB travel desk service; upgrades to higher membership status within the Etihad Guest loyalty program; and options to earn free companion tickets.

For the first time in the region, the co-branded debit card product range will include a VISA Infinite card exclusively available to high net-worth customers of ADIB.

Cardholders will benefit from the existing features of ADIB covered and debit cards which include high spending limits, free SMS transaction alert service and a 55-day grace period on repayments. Monthly card repayments by non-account holders can be made conveniently via the ADIB network of 60 branches as well as through Al-Ansari exchange offices throughout the UAE.
