Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ADGAS) has got a recertification of the ISO 14001 certificate it has won in 2004 for its Environment Management System. This came in recognition of its continuous efforts to improve its environmental practices across its industrial and operational activities.
The recertification crowned an external audit conducted by a world class quality assurance company, Lloyd Register, which is in charge of external auditing to renew the certificate every 3 years.
On March 17, 2013, ADGAS CEO, Mr. Fahim Kazim, received the renewal certificate from Lloyds Register representative who commended ADGAS compliance with environmental policies and commitment to the requirements of the Environment Management System.
"Renewing the ISO 14001 is not an easy thing, but what is more important is to keep up all the efforts of ADGAS divisions and departments to meet the requirements of the Environment Management System," said Mr. Kazim in his comment on the step.
On his part, Lloyds register's representative, Mr. Basem Obaid, said that ADFAS "was amongst the first companies to win and maintain the ISO certificate. Today ADGAS proves that it deserve this certificate and its renewal for the 3rd time in a row, due to its compliance with international standards and requirements".
