At Priority Pass Lounge of the Year Award 2012
30 May, 2012 - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: As an accolade for its continuous commitment to offering best-in-class service for passengers, Abu Dhabi International Airport's 'Al Dhabi' Lounge was named a highly commended lounge at the prestigious Priority Pass Lounge of the Year 2012 award. The award is based on over 40,000 ratings made by Priority Pass members, who are frequent flyers visiting airport lounges around the world on a regular basis.
Dan Cappell, Senior Vice President Commercial at ADAC, said:
"Receiving this year's Priority Pass Highly Commended Award is a great honour and demonstrates just one part of Abu Dhabi International Airport's commitment to putting passenger experience at the forefront of its priorities. Through the hard work and efforts of the entire team at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the fully refurbished Al Dhabi Lounge offers innovative facilities matched by high comfort standards in a relaxing atmosphere of Arabian hospitality."
Priority Pass is the world's largest independent airport lounge access program providing access to over 600 lounges worldwide, and recognises airports that deliver excellent service and facilities. The survey held in late 2011 rated the quality of services offered by VIP lounges and their ability to cater to all customers; and was undertaken by members at the Priority Pass programme who are frequent travellers with extensive experience of airport lounges. Al Dhabi Lounge was awarded the 2012 Priority Pass Highly Commended Award ahead of over 600 other lounges worldwide in the Priority Pass program.
Al Dhabi Lounge at Terminal 1 is accessible to travellers flying First or Business Class, offering a spacious and modern facility that provides work areas, exclusive seating areas, children's playground, private shower suites and luggage storage areas. Al Dhabi Lounge has designed special menus with a wide selection of food and drink buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner, ideal for transiting passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
