In Abu Dhabi – The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi announced the launching of number of online services as part of its plan to digitalize as much of its services as possible in order to enhance the satisfaction of the public and facilitate the transactions.
DoT offered 15 new services which are: School Bus Operator Permit, Underground Parking Permit, Resident Parking Permit, Commercial Violation, Private Land as Paid Parking, Issue Permit for The Usage of Pavements and Open Spaces, Advertisement Campaign Permit, Parking Cancellation Permit, issue Valet Parking Permit, issue Parking Spaces for Entities Permit, Apply for a Permit to Install Parking Shades, Park Reservation for Constructions, Park Reservation for Charity Campaign and Park Reservation for Basement Expansion.
With the digitalizing of these services, DoT succeeded in digitalizing 96% of its services as part of its endeavor to enhance the digitalizing process in Abu Dhabi.
“The digital transformation of the services offered by DoT follows the directions of our wise leadership to facilitate the requirements of completing transactions and offering high-quality services to the society according to the highest standards,” said H.E. Khalifa bin Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of DoT.
Al Mazrouei added that the digital transformation of DoT services enhances the level of productivity and operational efficiency and its competency as part of its support of the digital transformation in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and transforming the cities into being effective digital ones that facilitate people’s lives.
It is worth to mention that the digital transformation at the DoT will result in creating an integrated system of digital services to accomplish its vision that aim at instilling an integrated and sustainable transport for a better life in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Department of Transport of Abu Dhabi (“DoT”) was established by Law No. (4) of 2006, as amended by Law No. 5 of 2008 and No. 6 of 2018 issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the U.A.E., as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, to carry out the legislative, regulatory, supervisory and control functions related to the surface, maritime transport and the civil aviation sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as well as all commercial activities related to these sectors.
