It's being hailed as 'a new cardio era' and it's now arriving in gyms in throughout the Middle East. Technogym's latest, greatest exercise machine 'Cardio Wave' which, they say, not only guarantees a fun workout, but a a better time while doing it.

Every ten years, a new cardio trend is invented.  Treadmills hit the market in 1965, Bikes in '75, Steppers in '85 and in '95 Ellipticals.  Now comes the Wave era - Cardio Wave. The first cardio machine that challenges the linear plane.

The world is not made of straight lines, and neither is the way we move. Today Technogym is introducing a new cardio machine and concept that takes movement to different planes - laterally. Effective and efficient, users get a better workout in a smaller space and in less time.

Three years in the making, the Cardio Wave is a multiplaner cardio exercise machine. Easy to use and low impact, which means little or no stress on the joints, the Cardio Wave is for anyone and everyone, says the company.

The exclusive patented pedalling system, 'Ergo stride' means the pedals are at an angle and trajectory designed for a more natural movement, meaning three different planes of movement (forward, backward, and sideways) and ensureing correct posture to optimise effectiveness.

This 'Ergo stride' pedal movement means as well as the traditional forward and backward motion, feet and legs now travel slightly sideways just wider than hip width so there's a 'knee knocking' look to the movement. Technogym says this is perfect for those looking to correct knee defects because the need to control the breadth of movement and muscle co ordination strengthens knee muscles.

By simply changing the workout position the user can enjoy different levels of muscle activation, and because a lot more muscle groups are engaged in the one aerobic exercise, Technogym says this means the greatest calorie burn machine ever and more fun to boot.
