Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Wednesday with a positive performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) increased by 27.36 points, or 0.34%, to 8,008.55 points.
TASI’s traded volume fell to 126.53 million shares, from 133.85 million on Tuesday, while liquidity decreased to SAR 3.05 billion ($812 million), from SAR 3.36 billion ($897 million).
The consumer services sector rose 1.97%, followed by the energy sector with 1.76%.
The banking, materials, and telecommunication services sectors added 0.36%, 0.32%, and 0.11%, respectively.
On the flipside, the food and beverages sector inched down 0.61%, while the commercial and professional services sector shed 0.59%.
AlAhli Takaful Company’s (ATC) stock was the best performer after growing 4.96%, whereas the stock of Alujain Corporation fell 5.52%.
Alinma Bank’s stock, hiked 0.28%, topped the main market in terms of trading volume after 23.8 million shares were exchanged, generating a liquidity of SAR 510.82 million.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, levelled up 17.15 points, or 0.66%, to finish at 2,598.66 points.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock led Nomu’s gainers with 1.18%, whereas Development Works Food Co’s (DWF) stock went down 1.4%.
