Mubasher: The price per barrel (pb) of Kuwaiti oil rose at the closing of Monday's trades by 44 cents to $70.21 pb from $69.77 pb at Friday's close, data released by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) showed.

Globally, the United States announced plans to offer 11 million barrels of oil reserves for sale after it begins imposing sanctions on Iran.

The sanctions are effective 4 November 2018.
