CAIRO- Egypt's crude oil output increased to 657,000 barrels per day (bpd) from 630,000 a year ago, the petroleum authority said on Tuesday.

Egypt aims to speed up production from recently discovered fields, with an eye to halting imports by 2019 and achieving self-sufficiency.
