Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index added 6.35 points, or 0.13%, to close at 4,992.62 points on Tuesday, pushed up by the banks sector.

Market capitalisation lost AED 804 million to reach AED 495.065 billion.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 57.06 million shares, while its liquidity amounted to AED 178.99 million.

The banks sector added 0.47%, as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) gained 1.66% and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) went up 0.27%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector declined 1.33% after Aldar Properties sank 1.55% and RAK Properties fell 1.14%.

The telecommunications sector and its only stock, Etisalat, decreased 0.62% each.
