The UAE continue to improve and move up in the world of football, according to the world rankings.

In the latest Fifa rankings announced on Thursday, the Whites have climbed two places to 65th. The UAE, semifinalists at the AFC Asian Cup held on home soil, have a total of 1360 points.

The UAE are two spots ahead of World Cup regulars Saudi Arabia, who are placed 68th in the rankings. Saudi Arabia moved one spot with 1342 points.

The UAE are also ahead of China, one of the fast-developing countries in Asia. China have improved their ranking and have moved two spots to be placed 71st with 1333 points.

The UAE are also ahead of Iraq, one of the non-movers and who remain at 77th. The UAE are also ahead of Uzbekistan as well as Syria, who dropped down two spots to be placed 84th and 87th respectively.

Oman have dropped a spot to be joint 87th with 1277 points.

Meanwhile, India, who finished fourth in the Intercontinental Cup held earlier this month, too faced the drop, a slide of two places to be ranked 103rd. India have 1224 points.

Bahrain, meanwhile, improved up on a spot to be placed 109th with 1188 points.

The UAE are also ahead of Korea, who are ranked 118th. Korea were one of the biggest movers, jumping up four spots with 1154 points.

Meanwhile, Pakistan moved a spot to be placed 204th with 867 points.

In the Asia rankings, the UAE are placed sixth. Iran lead the rankings with 1518 although they suffered a drop of three spots to be placed 23rd in the world.

Japan, one of the Asian powerhouses, too endured a slide of three places to be ranked second in Asia and 33rd in the world with 1481 points.

Korea have remained static to be ranked 37th in the world and third in Asia with 1467 points.

The Australians are fourth in Asia and 46th in the world with 1436 points although the team from Down Under have dropped down three spots.

Qatar have suffered a horrendous slide of seven spots to be placed 62nd in the world. They are fifth in Asia.

Meanwhile, Belgium lead the world rankings with 1746 points followed by Brazil, who displaced world champions France at second. Brazil, winners of the Copa America for the ninth time, have 1726 points.

France have logged 1718 points.

World Cup semifinalists England remain third on 1652 points, while Uruguay vaulted three spots to be placed fifth with 1637 points.

Portugal, winners of the inaugural Uefa Nations League, dropped a spot to be placed sixth with 1631 points.

World Cup runners-up Croatia are seventh followed by Colombia and Spain with Argentina rounding off the top 10.
