The UAE is pulling out all the stops as it prepares for a spectacular Eid Al Fitr celebration, complete with live performances, fun for the family and plenty of fireworks. This year, Dubai and Abu Dhabi look set to dazzle, with 10 venues across the UAE ready to light up with breath-taking pyrotechnic displays. So keep those eyes trained on the sky and check out all the best places to see the fireworks from. 

Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR

Watch the majestic Ain Dubai light up under the razzle and dazzle of the fireworks as the city celebrates Eid Al Fitr in all its glory. 

Grab a seat at one of the popular dining spots at Bluewaters or The Beach, JBR, or simply park yourself on the beach and take in the festive mood around you.

Everyone’s favourite family destination is closing their ongoing season with a bang as they welcome visitors over the Eid week with a daily fireworks display that will play out across 10 days before Global Village shuts its doors on April 30. 

Aside from the daily display, visitors can also experience Eid traditions from around the world across 27 pavilions, representing more than 90 cultures. A special Eid Market, located by Celebration Walk, will focus on Arab traditions but will also feature authentic local pistachio ice cream, paintings by known artists, and an array of seasonal drinks.

The Global Village Main Stage and the Kids Theatre will feature live entertainment along with cultural shows playing out across the different pavilion stages.

Details: 10 days of fireworks, starting on April 21 and ending on April 30. Catch it daily at 9pm.

Dubai Parks and Resorts

Catch the fireworks displays taking place at the family-friendly times of 7pm and 9pm on April 22 across Dubai Parks and Resorts. There are separate activations across all the theme parks under the Dubai Parks and Resorts umbrella, including Motiongate Dubai’s ‘Illuminate’, a new light and sound show that will run on April 21 at the Hollywood Theatre. 

Neighbouring Lapita Hotel has also launched a new V.I.K. (Very Important Kids) programme this Eid where children will be able to meet fan-favourite Emirati cartoon characters from the series Shaabiat Al Cartoon

Etisalat by e& Beach Canteen

One of the highlights of the annual Dubai Food Festival, which returns for its 10th edition on April 21, remains the Etisalat by e& Beach Canteen. However, this year, the crowd favourite will not only serve mouth-watering cuisines from 53 participating restaurants but will also serve as one of the venues hosting the Eid Al Fitr fireworks.

Tuck into some delicious fare and keep your eyes trained to the sky.

ABU DHABI

Yas Island

This Eid Al Fitr, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, will showcase a fireworks display on the first two days of the festival, and the best vantage point to view the razzle dazzle is Yas Bay Waterfront.

Make an evening out of it and take in the live music concerts featuring Arab artists Abdul Majeed Abdullah and Mohammed Ramadan. While Abdullah will perform at the Etihad Arena on April 23, ‘Mafia’ crooner Ramadan will hit the stage at Yas Links on April 22.

Al Mugheirah Bay

Grab the kids and head to Al Mugheirah Bay in Al Marfa, where you can cap the Eid-themed festivities with the dazzle of fireworks. 

The popular Abu Dhabi venue has set up an Eid Entertainment Zone, which promises a fun-filled evening complete with music, colourful parades, LED shows and more. Entry is free.

Details: Festivities from 5pm to 11pm, with fireworks at 9pm on April 21.

Marsana Al Hudayriyat Island

Celebrate Eid Al Fitr at Marsana Al Hudayriyat Island, where live festivities and performances are sure to keep the young ones entertained. The evening will end with a fireworks display, so keep those cameras ready. 

Details: On April 22, between 5pm and 11pm. Fireworks scheduled for 9pm. Entry is free.

Hazza bin Zayed Stadium 

If you happen to be in the UAE’s Garden City over the Eid weekend, then here’s your chance to catch the fireworks. Al Ain’s Hazza bin Zayed Stadium will feature its own fireworks display, with ample seating for everyone to sit back and enjoy.

While there, do visit the Eid festivities across its cultural and heritage sites, which will include Al Ayyala and Al Razfa performances at Al Ain Palace Museum between 3pm and 7pm.

Abu Dhabi Corniche

The traditional venue to catch the fireworks in the UAE capital remains a strong choice, with Abu Dhabi Corniche hosting another glittering show over the Eid break. The corniche will make for a great family outing as well, with 8km of waterfront that packs in children’s play areas, pedestrian pathways, restaurants and more.

Madinat Zayed Public Park

Madinat Zayed, one of the three towns in Al Dafrah promising Eid fireworks this year, will host its own spectacle at the Madinat Zayed Public Park.
