AMMAN — The government has made fully COVID-19 vaccinated truck drivers travelling from Jordan to Iraq exempt from requiring a PCR test, Deputy President of Truck Owners Syndicate Nael Thiabat said on Monday.

The Ministry of Interior had approved recommendations from the committee organising border crossings, which now allows the drivers of Jordanian trucks with vaccination certificates to leave and enter the country via border crossings without the need of a COVID-19 PCR test, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Thiabat added that 120 oil trucks headed to Iraq during the past 48 hours, after some 450 drivers obtained Iraqi visas.
