The second stage of the Bahrain Food Festival has been delayed for a week, according to the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).

The event was scheduled to begin today at Bahrain Bay but has been postponed to March 12, and will run until March 23.

More than 200 restaurants are taking part in the festival, offering a wide range of cuisines.

The festival also features a children’s play area, a traditional village offering local food and live cooking stations as well as live musical performances and fun competitions.

Food options range from healthy and organic to street food and gastronomical delicacies cooked up by creative and diverse vendors.

The British School of Bahrain International Family Fair has been postponed until further notice. The fair was set to be held tomorrow.

“Following advice from the Health Ministry to avoid crowded places we have decided to postpone the International Family Fair on March 6 and reschedule it to a later date to be announced,” said the school in a statement yesterday.
