Bahrain’s Ministry of Electricity and Water Affairs and Bahrain Society of Engineers have signed an agreement with a common objective to hold the ‘International Sustainable Energy Event 2019 (iSEE 2019, a media report said.
The memorandum of agreement was signed by Dr Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, and Dr Dheya A. Aziz Tawfiqi, president of Bahrain Society of Engineers, reported Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
The iSEE 2019 with the theme ‘Fostering Bahrain’s Sustainable Future’ will be the first annual event in a new series organised by the Sustainable Energy Unit (SEU) in partnership with Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE).
The iSEE 2019 will be held on April 17 and 18 the Gulf Hotel and Exhibition Centre, Manama.
Aiming to provide a unique platform for government authorities, experts, the private sector and general public to meet and discuss the latest renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) trends worldwide.
Exploring how to incorporate the latest trends and techniques to serve the Kingdom and its citizens will be a key objective of the event. The event will feature a forum with speakers from both the RE and EE fields, as well as an exhibition and networking opportunities.
The iSEE 2019 is expected to enhance awareness of the initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom in these sectors, stimulate the market, encourage investment in RE and EE projects and increase the share of renewable energy resources in the primary energy mix while enhancing energy efficiency in Bahrain.
It is expected that the event will not only create awareness among the general public but also strengthen the capacity of the local market players through knowledge transfer among different practitioners at international, regional and local levels.
