The Cabinet on Sunday approved the draft amendments to the Jordanian Constitution for 2021, including the proposed recommendations of the Royal Committee to Modernise the Political System (RCMPS), as well as additional amendments proposed by the government.

The Council of Ministers also approved the draft law of the Lower House elections of 2021 and the draft law of the political parties of 2021, in accordance with the recommendations of the RCMPS.

The government, during the upcoming days, will refer the draft amendments to the Lower House to complete the constitutional measures for approval, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
