A new security consultancy service launched in Dubai on Saturday will let residents call the police for any kind of enquiries related to security. The police's toll-free number 901 will receive calls from the public and give out information for free on matters related to traffic, crime, human rights and others.
The Security Consultancy Service will serve residents in both Arabic and English, according to Colonel Turki bin Fares, director of the command and control centre.
"Police specialists will receive security enquiries from the public. Residents can get quick access to the service without even listening to the automated answering machine of the 901 service," said Col bin Fares.
