Cairo – Egypt has allocated more than EGP 13 billion worth of investments for Haya Karima (A Decent Life) initiative to serve 375 rural areas during fiscal years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021, the Minister of Local Development, Mahmoud Shaarawy, said.

Haya Karima institution has recently launched a new initiative to contribute to fines for construction violations in rural areas under the initiative, he added in a statement on Monday.

It provided EGP 150 million for the payment of fines for illegal buildings in Assiut, Sohag, Minya, Qena, Aswan, Luxor, New Valley, Matrouh, and Beheira.
