Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s inflation declined for the third consecutive month in February, recording -2.53% year-on-year, according to a recent report issued by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).
The UAE Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded 109.28 points in February, compared to 109.61 points in January, the state-run statistics agency said.
On a monthly basis, the GCC nation’s inflation reached -0.3% in February, compared to January.
The prices of the food and beverages segment fell -1.75%, or 106.14 points, while the transportation segment plunged -1.28% during the second month of 2019.
