Egypt received a Ukrainian wheat cargo of 63,000 tons contracted before the eruption of the war between Ukraine and Egypt on the condition that the Russian supplier bears responsibility for the shipment and safe delivery of the cargo, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on September 6th, citing the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi.

The price and volume of the cargo and the conditions thereof will be identical to what was agreed upon before the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, Moselhi added.

On September 1st, price assessment agency Agricensus reported that the Egyptian grain importer General Authority Supply Commodities (GASC) bought 120,000 metric tons of Russian wheat in a private deal.
