Egypt’s Ministry of Transport and French Alstom have signed executive protocol to inaugurate Misr Academy programs, the first railway academy in Egypt, the Transport Ministry stated on March 21st.
The railway academy is a customized training program designed to ensure Egypt’s growing rail industry has a strong workforce.

Minister of Transport Kamel Al Wazir revealed that the necessary arrangements have already been taken to start implementing all the programs of the academy.

He added that the first programs of the academy will be implemented starting Wednesday, March 22nd.

The railway academy in Egypt will offer three programs that address young talents at different stages of their career, as follows:

  • The Master Class Program (MCP), which is a short-term program, in partnership with Egyptian National Railway and National Authority of Tunnels, to train 200 engineers.
  • The Master Expert Program (MEP), which is a long-term program of 9 months, in partnership with the National Institute of Transport, is designed to train 30 fresh graduates wanting to enter the rail industry.
  • The Master Training Program (MTP), which is a summer course in partnership with Wardan High Technical Institute to train 70 students.

These programs will be delivered by trainers from Alstom University
