The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) and the Madinah Munawarah Chamber (MMC) signed a cooperation agreement during a visit by a Jordanian industrial delegation to Saudi Arabia.

An ACI statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Sunday, said that the delegation includes representatives from the food, plastic, chemical, engineering, pharmaceutical, furniture, mining, and constructions sectors, with the aim of exchanging economic delegations and information on events and exhibitions organised in the two kingdoms.

ACI President Fathi Jaghbir commended the "quick development" in Saudi Arabia in all fields in "record time", noting that the exports of Jordan's industrial sector account for more than 90 per cent of all Jordanian exports totalling over $7 billion annually, where Saudi Arabia is Jordan’s second biggest economic partner.

MMC President Munir Bin Saad stressed the importance of the Jordanian industries that he described as "enjoying expertise, quality and high competitive levels."

Saudi investments in Jordan reached some $13 billion by the end of 2022, the statement noted.
