AMMAN This years assistance to Jordan is consistent with last years assistance, according to a US embassy statement.

The Jordanian and US governments are finalising the details of the 2019 cash transfer, which is part of the US rock-solid commitment to Jordan, as shown in the February 2018 memorandum of understanding between the two nations, which promised a minimum of $1.275 billion per year in bilateral foreign assistance over a five-year period for a total of $6.375 billion.

For nearly seven decades, the United States and Jordan have worked side-by-side to improve economic and regional stability, strengthen democratic governance and deliver essential services to Jordan, the statement added.
