Kuwait - The Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee (Dhaman) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Fund for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development to support projects financed by the fund.

Under the MoU, Dhaman will provide export credit insurance for commercial and non-commercial risks facing those projects, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.

The protocol also covers cooperation between Dhaman and the SMEs fund in the exchange of information and experiences, and training activities, the statement added.

Dhaman’s new insurance programme will serve SMEs exporting products made in Kuwait, Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan said.

Director general of Abdullah Alsabeeh stressed Dhaman’s keenness on promoting its role in bolstering merchandise exports of member states.
