Abu Dhabi, Dec 29th, 2010 (WAM) -- The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) has been awarded with ISO 1401:2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 certificates for its implementation of the of environmental management system within its industrial cities and the workers residential cities.
Chief Executive Officer Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) Mohamed H Al Qemzi, said these awards show the commitment of HSE & Security Department towards implementation of environmental management system in line with the Abu Dhabi Government strategy to reach international standards across all its departments. "ZonesCorp has accomplished a key milestone for the organization" he said. "ZonesCorp is now accredited to the international standards of ISO 14001 (Environment Management System Standard) & OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series). This successful accomplishment is a result of serious and dedicated contribution from all ZonesCorp employees across all levels of the organization to enable result oriented implementation of the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards" he added.
