Beirut - The occupying force of Zionist regime has missed its ability to choose between peace and war; this is the outcome of resistance, Iran's cultural attaché to Beirut Seyed Mohamad Hossein Reiszadeh said at a cultural event here on Monday.

"The establishment of a political system based on Islam is the outcome of Islamic revolution in Iran which has resisted the Zionist regime and hegemonic powers' illegal demands in the past three decades."

"Iran was inspiring for Lebanese, Palestinian and Iraqi nation to resist the oppressive powers and defend their rights; this has changed the regional equation; today the Zionist regime is much more disappointed than ever before because it can not determine to live in peace or be in war with the neighbors which means the loss of security for its residents in the occupied territories."

The 2006 Lebanon War is an example that shows the Zionist regime is weaker that ever before. It was a 33-day military conflict in Lebanon, northern occupied lands and the Golan Heights. The principal parties were Hezbollah forces and the Zionist regime military. The conflict started on 12 July 2006, and continued until a United Nations-brokered ceasefire went into effect in the morning on 14 August 2006, though it formally ended on 8 September 2006 when Tel-Aviv lifted its naval blockade of Lebanon.
