KUWAIT CITY: Wataniya Airways has decided to reduce the number of daily flights to five in order to prevent cancellation of scheduled daily flights, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to an official, the number of daily flights will therefore not exceed seven in the coming months.

On Sunday, the airline had canceled five flights out of the 12 scheduled flights to Baku, Borg El Arab International Airport, Rafik Hariri Airport in Beirut and two to Nepal.

The official explained that one of the airline’s aircraft has been experiencing a technical problem for some time, which forced the airline to pull it out from service. The number of planes currently being used by the airline are three leased planes.
