DOHA: Vodafone Qatar recently launched International MMS, making it easier for customers to keep in touch with their friends and families overseas.
With International MMS, customers can send pictures, short videos and even voice recordings for only QR1.20 per MMS to friends and families across 14 carriers in nine popular overseas destinations; with more destinations being added soon.
In addition, customers can send MMS to email addresses anywhere in the world for the cost of sending an MMS locally at QR0.80. The recipient will receive the MMS as an email and can reply to the MMS e-mail directly from their mailbox for free. "Many of our customers have friends and family overseas whom they don't get to see very often. We are excited to offer International MMS as it helps our customers to keep in touch in a really personal way and be part of the changes or important events in each other's lives," said Dione Meyer, Messaging Product Manager, Vodafone Qatar.
"A great feature of Vodafone's MMS service is if our customer or their friend doesn't have an MMS-capable mobile they will receive an SMS message telling them how to get the message online," added Meyer.
