Ukraine is in talks with the UAE to supply BTR 90 armoured personnel carriers, a top official said.
"The UAE Army has shown interest. So far we have not signed the contract. We hope the display at Idex will make the UAE interested in our capabilities," said Valery M. Shmarov, general director of Ukraine State Com-pany for Exports.
No other details were provided.
Ukraine is cooperating with the UAE by setting up joint ventures with companies such as Adcom. Ukraine developed the BTR90 complete with an automatic cannon and machine gun, enabling the crew to effectively handle the toughest situation.
