Tripoli, May 07th, 2012 (WAM) -- UAE's new Ambassador to Libya Saeed Obeid Al Kaabi presented today his credentials to Libya's Foreign Minister Ashour Bin Khayal at a special ceremony held at the Ministry.

The Ambassador conveyed to Bin Khayal the greetings of UAE Foreign Minister HH Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as his get-well prayers for and the leader of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) Mustafa Abdul Jalil.

Expressing his happiness for serving as Ambassador to Libya, Al Kaabi also stressed UAE's continued support to Libya and its people.

He also pledged to work for developing relations between the UAE and Libya in the coming phase as Libya is building itself anew.

The Libyan Foreign Minister also offered his greetings to the UAE leadership and wished the ambassador every success in his mission to strengthen relations between the two countries.

He also hailed the support UAE gave Libya during the February 17 Revolution and said that the history will never forget this brave stance of the UAE leadership.
