Dubai: Auto dealers in the UAE are enticing consumers with massive discounts, even as spending on brand-new rides continue to increase.

The distributors of Toyota and Nissan vehicles in the UAE have just announced that they’re offering their customers a chance to save money on new cars, including sports utility and sedan vehicles.

“Customers will be spoilt for choice,” said Arabian Automobiles Company, the exclusive dealer for Nissan in the UAE. “Fans of the popular Juke, Altima and Pathfinder models are in for a particularly happy surprise, as these vehicles will see the greatest price cuts.”

The offers came even as the auto industry is seeing a growing demand for vehicles. According to Euromonitor International data, consumers in UAE spent $4.8 billion on purchase of cars, motorcycles and other vehicles in 2016 and the figure is set to go up by 4.9 per cent to hit $5.1 billion this year.

Valid throughout the month of April, Al-Futtaim Motors’ Happy Days campaign promises to provide UAE residents the chance to avail themselves of Dh41,000 discount if they choose to drive home the Toyota 5.7-litre Land Cruiser VXR. For those who are shopping for a 5.7-litre Land Cruiser GXR, the 20 per cent down payment, equivalent to Dh59,800, will be waived.

Toyota’s hot-selling car, the Camry, is being offered for Dh12,000 off the usual price. Up to Dh5,000 in savings also await buyers of 2017 Yaris Hatchback and Sedan, as well as Corolla.

On top of the price reductions, buyers are also given the chance to win their dream holiday worth Dh40,000 if they purchase a car before April 15, 2017.

Saud Abbasi, managing director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors, said their deals cover their best-selling vehicles. “For customers looking for sedans or hatchbacks, our best-selling Toyota Corolla, Camry and Yaris are all available at great discounts. We also have fantastic prices on our SUV range, for anyone looking to get larger vehicles for their families or for off-roading adventures,” Abbasi told Gulf News.

Buyers who opt to drive home a Nissan car, can also avail themselves of discounts for over a ten-day period. From April 1 to 10, the 2016 Nissan Juke is being sold for Dh53,500, while the Nissan Altima is currently up for grabs for Dh69,500 and the Pathfinder for Dh107,500.

“Customers will see a range of exceptional discounts across all Nissan models, allowing them to purchase their ideal car -whether a versatile urban crossover, a sleek family sedan or a powerful seven-seater SUV - while also making once-in-a lifetime savings of up to and even over Dh40,000 on select vehicles,” Arabian Automobiles Company said in a statement.
