Hamadi Labiadh, a Tunisian inventor has devised  an electronic prayer carpet with an integrated calculator of the number of the prostrations due for each prayer, announced the Tunisian Arabic language daily "Assabah".

Following a number of successful tests, the Mufti of Tunisia OK'd the invention and gave his green light for the marketing of the carpet.

He will also invent a new prayer carpet equipped with an infrared device  destined at filling the needs of people unable to kneel for prayers.

Hamadi Labiadh's invention was duly registered at the National Institute of Standardization and Industrial Property (INNORPI).
