TUNIS - "My wish with the advent of the third anniversary of the Revolution that Tunisia will be endowed with a new Constitution and will achieve free and loyal elections likely to move the democratic experience to the stage of stability and construction."
In an address on Tuesday, on the occasion of the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the Revolution, Ali Larayedh called on the political and civil elites to strengthen the national cohesion, stand together, and work together for development and edification of democracy as made in the fight against dictatorship, arbitrariness and social injustice.
He congratulated all the political classes, those in power, in the opposition or the civil society, to have achieved success of the value of dialogue as a mechanism to overcome the problems and obstacles and strengthen legitimacy embedded by the elections of October 23 by a consensual legitimacy.
He urged political leaders to exert efforts and catch up the delay in the materialisation of the dignity sought by underprivileged classes, jobless people and needy families.
For the Prime Minister, there is no place in Tunisia for the persistence of disordered battles for freedom at the expense of the main files, notably security, economic and social, stressing the need to ward off the perils of chaos, violence and terrorism in such a manner as to make viable the equation between freedom and respect of law.
Larayedh voiced a growing determination to fight against terrorism and foil attempts to fail the process and plot against the Revolution.
The world is watching the Tunisian experience of democratic transition and want to see the country make its way towards success so as to combine the attributes of triumph of the Arab Spring, at a moment when the Arab and Islamic peoples run behind success to guarantee them emancipation and development and a world of fairer international relations, he added.
