Sulaimaniyah emergency hospital received 16 injured people with gunshot in Haweeja events in Kirkuk for treatment, Health Directorate in Sulaimaniyah said on Wednesday.

The head of Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani has ordered the region's hospitals to receive the wounded people by the army on Tuesday.

"Sulaimaniyah Emergency Hospital received 16 wounded people from Haweeja ," the manager of the Department of Health in Sulaymaniyah , Miran Mohammed Abbas told "Shafaq News".

"A number of the wounded were in serious condition and they are under intensive care," asserting that "all injuries were caused bullets," he added.

Iraqi soldiers stormed the protesters square opponents against the policies of Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki after clashes erupted between the two sides that caused the death of dozens of people and the injury of others.

Gunmen launched what is appeared to be retaliatory attacks in Kirkuk and nearby provinces that left many dead and wounded people between the two sides in a development that would deepen the split in the country and exacerbate political and security tensions.
