MUSCAT -- Proceedings of the third meeting for the successful administrative practices commenced at the Public Administration Institute yesterday under the auspices of Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Harthy, Minister of Civil Service. The meeting is held under the theme the experience of the reliable person as a mechanism to ensure quality of administrative services. Dr Shaikh Suleiman bin Hilal al Alawi, Director General of Public Administration Institute, delivered a speech in which he said that the Public Institute of Administration adopted the programme as an important step in raising awareness about the distinguished administrative efforts.
"The Institute, since the first meeting, has been open to the experience of others to identify the novel and distinguished practices that fit the purpose," he added. The meeting aims to enable governmental departments to apply the distinguished administrative practices, in addition to spreading the use of successful experiences both at the local and foreign levels. Taking part in the four-day programme are directors general, experts, specialists, office directors of ministers, the undersecretaries and honourable members of the State Council.
