Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and leader in Kurdistan Democratic Party, Roze Nuri Shaways confirmed that Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is working with all its efforts
to provide safe havens, and to create humanitarian supplies for all displaced people inside and outside the region including Yazidis.
A statement issued by his press office received by "Shafaq News", said that " Shaways received in Khazar operations in Erbil province , a delegation of Yazidi people headed by Hazem Tahseen as representative for his father, Prince Tahseen Bek.
The statement said that the two sides discussed during the meeting, security and humanitarian situation in Kurdistan and Mosul in general, and what Yazidi have suffered of genocide and displacement by the terrorist organization, indicating that it targeted the Iraqi people, especially minorities, who are an important part of fabric of Iraqi society and violated the values of democracy and human rights.
The statement added that Shaways said that the sons of the Yazidi sect were and still are an important part of the sons of the people of Kurdistan and Iraq and were also subjected as the people of Kurdistan to a series of tragedies throughout history.
The statement noted that the delegation included members of the community affairs , director general of the Yazidis Khayri Bozzani, and representatives of the people of Sinjar ; Khaled Dakhil , Dakhil Murad and spiritual advisor to the Board , Karim Suleiman and Dr. Khalaf Sinjari.
Sinjar and Zammar regions, which includes Kurdish Yazidis majority have fallen under the control of the terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria "ISIS" organization earlier this month after the withdrawal of Peshmarga forces after being exposed to the attacks with heavy weapons obtained by ISIS terrorists after the events of the ninth of June in Mosul, Salahuddin, Kirkuk and Diyala and control on the large parts after the sudden withdrawal of the Iraqi security forces.
Peshmarga Kurdish forces with the joint operations and support of American and Iraqi air are fighting to restore those areas since few days ago.
