Work on the fourth expansion phase of the Tubli Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is in full swing.

Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam Khalaf inspected the progress of work.

He was accompanied by Works Affairs Under-Secretary Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat and assistant under-secretary for sewerage Ibrahim Hassan Al Hawaj.

The strategic infrastructure project aims to enhance production and absorb the increasing wastewater flows to the plant as a result of urban development and demographic growth.“Once completed, the Tubli sewage treatment plant will have a capacity of 400,000 cubic metres daily, up from 200,000 cu / m at present”, said the minister.
