TRIPOLI (AFP)--Seven people were killed as gunmen raided the southern oasis city of Ghadames, Libya's government spokesman said Wednesday.
"There were clashes in the city of Ghadames. Unfortunately, seven people were killed and more than 20 were wounded," Nasser al-Manaa told journalists.
Of those killed, six were among the raiders.
Manaa, who gave no details on who the assailants were, said military forces had entered the city and that the situation was now under control.
