DUBAI, 24 April, 05 (WAM) - The Projects Construction Sectionin the General Projects Department at Dubai Municipality willorganize the first national seminar on construction project managementon April 27 in Dubai.
Announcing this at a press conference today. Eng. RashadBukhash, Director of General Projects Department, said notedthatthe seminar, the first of its kind organized by the municipality,represents the belief of the municipality that urban developmentnot only needs structure and comprehensive planning and providefacilities and services, but also good management of buildingactivities in order to maintain quality and safety.
"Nowadays, building industry in Dubai witnesses unprecedenteddevelopment in terms of capital shares and types and size ofprojects. It is also distinguished in building materials, constructionsystems and technology. These great developments demands thatall parties engaged in the building industry should cooperatein the development of the best available tools and systems ofconstruction project management. It needs the efforts of theacademic and professional institutions and the contributionsof experts in the public and private sectors," said Bukhash. He said the seminar is a unique opportunity to open closed doorsand remove barriers between partners in making the future ofDubai. "Far from share prices, net profit and fast track rise and fallof construction organizations, there should be a real interestin quality, safety and management," Bukhash said. He noted that the seminar is held to address important issuesand to respond to the lack of awareness towards the crucial roleof construction project management in improving the quality ofthe built environment and the life of people.
