German company Seepex has delivered 13 pumpsets to Bechtel to be used in the construction of the $1.5 billion Onshore Gas Development III project in Abu Dhabi.
The pumps will play a key role transferring oily sludges and oily waste water through the projects waste water treatment plant, said Seepex.
The N range progressive cavity pumps are tailored for the various roles in this project, said the company, and offer low shear characteristics.
"This ensures gentle handling and least damage to any oil droplets and so assists in maximising separation plant efficiencies. The recovered oil can then be recycled back into the plant," said Seepex.
