BEIRUT - Scholars of the Levant Union stressed that the crisis in Syria can be resolved only through dialogue, calling on all Syrians to seize the opportunity and work for building "the strong, resistant and modern Syria."
BEIRUT - Scholars of the Levant Union stressed that the crisis in Syria can be resolved only through dialogue, calling on all Syrians to seize the opportunity and work for building "the strong, resistant and modern Syria."
In a statement issued on Monday, the Union added that Muslims across the globe are now convinced that the International Union for Muslim Scholars, headed by Youssef al-Karadawi, are "mere preachers of the Sultan."
The statement added that issuing fatwas for money is a violation of the Sharia, pointing out to those who issued fatwas for the terrorist takfiri groups to justify their violations and crimes.
