BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Saudi Arabia's Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, or RCJY, signed Wednesday a 194.8 million Saudi riyals ($52 million) contract for a project to develop the infrastructure of the Al Matrafiyah district in Jubail Industrial City, Jeddah-based Okaz daily reports Thursday.
The contract was awarded to an unidentified local contractor and the project is expected to be completed within two-and-a-half years, the paper reports without saying from where it got the information.
The project includes, among other things, road construction works, setting up a water pumping station and drinking and irrigation water grids as well as wastewater networks, in addition to building a telecom infrastructure, the daily says.
